– National Conference on Innovations in Coal & Mineral Characterization for Sustainable Resource Utilization
The National Conference on Innovations in Coal & Mineral Characterization for Sustainable Resource Utilization (ICMCS-2025) organized by CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur at Fairfield by Marriot, New Town, Kolkata concluded on 31.01.2025.
About 100 delegates from 30 reputed institutes across India including IITs, GSI, Universities, CSIR, BARC, Tata Steel, etc. attended the conference and presented their research findings on sustainable utilization of Coal, Ores, and Minerals. Preparation of Certified Reference Material (CRM) as import substitution as a part of Make in India program was also discussed. The conference provided a platform to renowned researchers and scientists, research scholars pursuing their PhD and Industry personnel to exchange their ideas towards achieving the target of Vikashit Bharat by the year 2047.
The valedictory session was conducted by Mrs. Monika sahu and all the delegates thanked Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury , Director, CSIR-NML and Sanchita Chakravarty, Chairperson ICMCS 2025 for successful organization of the conference. Everybody emphasized importance and benefits of organizing such conferences.
